Una parte significativa de las publicaciones sobre sindicalismo docente ha sido escrita por ex militantes o militantes sindicales, e inclusive las propias organizaciones docentes han llevado adelante investigaciones sobre las experiencias asociativas y sindicales del magisterio. No es algo llamativo, pues se trata de trabajadores inmersos en la cultura escrita y familiarizados con la investigación que, en líneas generales, tienen una intensa actividad sindical.
